Join us for an informative webinar designed to help public procurement professionals understand the implications of Canada’s Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act.
This legislation requires many Canadian organizations to submit an annual report outlining the steps taken to prevent or reduce the risk of forced or child labour within their operations and supply chains. The submission deadline for the 2024 reporting year is May 31, 2025.
In this session, Lisa Cabel, Partner and National Leader in KPMG in Canada’s Employment and Labour Law practice, and Kenn Jordan, Tax Partner in KPMG’s Trade & Customs practice, will share insights on how KPMG’s multidisciplinary team supports organizations in meeting these new compliance requirements. Topics will include supply chain review, analysis of existing policies/protocols, risk identification, training, continuous improvement measures, and preparing the annual report to be signed by the organization’s governing body.
This session will provide practical guidance tailored to the public sector and the evolving responsibilities of procurement professionals in promoting ethical supply chains.
