Reverse Tradeshow Open from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Tear-down and lunch from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Reverse Tradeshow is returning! This unique event is an opportunity for vendors to introduce themselves to a variety of procurement and purchasing professionals from public agencies throughout Ontario.
This event is free for participating OPBA members. Food and refreshments will be available to all agency participants. Once the Reverse Tradeshow is done, OPBA members will be invited to debrief on the day and have lunch with your colleagues.
The Reverse Tradeshow serves several purposes. To begin, it’s a great way for your agency to participate in a large vendor outreach event. Secondly, it gives you an opportunity to have face-to-face contact with your professional peers from around the province. Finally, this event is a revenue generation opportunity for the OPBA and supports professional development opportunities and other member services. We encourage you to participate and support your professional association. The more members we get, the more the vendors will see the value in participating in this opportunity.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Each agency will have its own table and we recommend between 2 and 4 people per agency and table.
- Anyone from your organization can attend, including OPBA members and any other individuals within your agency that may not necessarily work in the purchasing offices, but have purchasing responsibilities such as Fleet or Facility Managers, for example, are invited to participate.
- Ensure everyone who attends from your agency brings lots of business cards to distribute to the vendors.
Here's what you need to do:
- Participating agencies and their representatives are required to RSVP for this event on the OPBA website.
- Agencies will be requested to submit a copy of their corporate logo to the OPBA office for inclusion on signage indicating participation at the event.
- Participating agencies will be listed on the OPBA website indicating their attendance at the Reverse Vendor Tradeshow to generate interest amongst vendors throughout Ontario.
- You are encouraged to bring any tabletop or free-standing placards or other marketing give-aways to promote your agency.
