Shannon spent fourteen (14) years working with municipalities in the Province of Ontario with a reciprocal and as a broker. Her work in those roles was primarily focused on Risk Management including contract reviews and municipal operation risk assessment. Prior to joining AMO's Business Services arm LAS as the Program Manager – Municipal Risk Management in June of 2022, she was the Manager of Risk for the City of Vaughan.\n\nSamoya Lloyd-Smith is currently the Manager of Purchasing and Risk Management at the Township of Centre Wellington. She has almost 20 years’ experience working in Purchasing and has recently ventured into risk management.  Prior to her current role, she spent 13 years working in a national non-profit healthcare organization managing the Procurement and Partner Services function. Her past roles also included working as a buyer in the automotive sector and as a Purchasing Analyst in a large municipality. She holds a master’s degree in health administration, a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology and has held the NISCL – Certified Supply Chain Leader designation since 2011. When not busy with her family, she can be found traveling, exploring nature or listening to audiobooks or podcasts.
